Are you that dynamic university graduate who shares our enthusiasm and dedication to quality? If so, NIBC is looking for you to join our Analyst Program. The Analyst Program is serious fun. It’s a great way to get to know other analysts within the firm, and to experience the diversity of banking.

Personal and professional development are key elements of this program. You’ll be learning on the job during in-company training provided by the Amsterdam Institute of Finance, in cooperation with professors of international business schools like INSEAD and IMD. This hands-on experience will help you become a banking professional who is ready to start at the deep end!

The 12-month Analyst Program consists of four one-week modules with a financial and personal development focus. During the training weeks, the analysts will stay in an Amsterdam hotel.

If you start as an analyst in one of our international offices you will also complete the Analyst Program in Amsterdam.

At NIBC, new recruits apply for a vacancy to start their career. The Analyst Program, which starts in January, is a training program you attend alongside your job. You will not rotate through the organisation during this program. We are looking for focused candidates and will do our best to create a good match between the individual and the department. However, we will fully support you if you want to switch departments after the program.

Business Unit

The strategic business unit Consumer Banking focuses on providing innovative solutions for retail clients, such as white label mortgages and the recently launched online bank NIBC Direct.

Within the business unit IT, part of the NIBC Corporate Center, the department Information and Application Management (IAM) Consumer Banking is responsible for the IT and applications of Consumer Banking. De department consists of the head of the department and the following teams:
Vendor Management (1 FTE)
NIBC Direct (7 FTE)
Mortgages (3 FTE)

Job Profile

The Application Manager Mortgages will be part of the Mortgages team, which consists of two other employees.

The Information and Application Management department acts as the intermediary between the IT-organization and the users of applications and related processes, ensures proper functioning of the applications and takes care of an effective and efficient use of these applications.

The responsibility of the Application Manager Mortgages is to ensure the proper day-to-day operation of the mortgage applications and processes and to facilitate the data management processes regarding the mortgage data we receive from external mortgage servicers.

Application Management
The duties of the Application Manager will typically cover the complete operations layer of the BiSL model for functional application management. The Application Manager Mortgages will be responsible for the following duties:

-Application management of the following Consumer Banking mortgages applications:

Onguard (the arrears management workflow application);

Webshop (the external portal for business partners and the overrule workflow application);

BKR Logilink (the application for customer credit verification);

FACTS!

- Incident management relating to mortgage applications.
- Change management: specifying, monitoring timely development and testing changes to mortgage applications.
- Reporting:

Maintaining and testing the mortgage reporting environment;

Building ad hoc (management) reports

- Communication with internal and external stakeholders about incidents, changes and projects.

The Application manager Mortgages will be the back-up for the Application Manager Prommise, who is responsible for the application management of Prommise (used for the investor reporting and paying & calculation of the securitised mortgage portfolio).

Data Management
The Application Manager Mortgages will also assist in the daily, weekly and monthly mortgage data management activities, which include checking and importing all downloads from external mortgage servicers Stater, Quion and Welcium into the mortgage applications (Onguard, Prommise, Webshop, etc.).

Projects
Besides the operational and recurring activities the Application Manager Mortgages will also participate in IT related projects within Consumer Banking, like the following projects that are already foreseen to start in 2012:
Mortgage data Improvement Project (MIP);
Upgrade Prommise to .NET version;
Upgrade Webshop.

The job of Application Manager within Information and Application Management is very diverse with a good mix between technical aspects and more business related aspects. The candidate will have to communicate with different stakeholders: end-users, management, servicers, external suppliers, software vendors, et cetera. The candidate will have a lot of freedom and responsibilities and will be facing enough intellectual challenges to develop herself/himself.

Education
Masters degree in Information Sciences or a degree in Economics or Finance with a strong IT component.

Experience
Experience with application management;
Knowledge of and experience with of MS Excel and MS Access;
Preferably knowledge or interest in mortgages and/or securitisations;
Preferably knowledge of relevant reporting tools (MS SQL, Business Objects);
Knowledge of relevant standards (ITIL, BiSL, Prince2).

Strong analytical skills;
Very good verbal and written communicative skills (both Dutch and English);
Hands-on and pro-active mentality;

Eager to learn, flexible, team player.
